There are a number of pioneering agricultural projects taking place at Ananda Nagar. P.R. Sarkar, the founder of Anandanagar was keen on introducing new crops and demonstrating how this impoverished rural area could develop itself with the best agricultural methods. Anandanagar has led the way in the cultivation of crops such as rubber, tea, grapes, and oranges, which were previously uncommon in this region.

The vast agricultural and farming projects given by our founder Shri Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar in Bansghar has started and is regularly growing up.
Days passed. Time moved on from beginning-lessness to eternity. The mountains, acted upon by storms and thunderstorms, were slowly eroded. They lost their crowns of snow and were reduced in stature. As the mountains become smaller, the basins between mountains rose. We can see today wavy red soil in Western Rárh — the waves advance towards east o to merge in the distant blue; in their reverse journey, they tell us of a lost address. That undulating land is our Rárh.”

Fruits: Malta , Ber, Grapes, Papaya, Banana, Mango, Lichi, Chikoo, Gauva, Pomegranate, Moringa, Date palm are grown.

Cereals: Paddy, Maize, Millets, Variety of pulses.
